fix this underperforming Dome team

Third in offense, third in pitching, + 76 run differential, but bumping along at .500 all season long.

Staley is killing me--thought about dropping him for Bob Miller or Dave Smith, although I have no prior experience with those two.

Lineup vs RHP:
Musial
Fox
Speaker
Jackson
Rolfe
Medwick
Pesky
Grote

Outside of being picky about GBA's and such, your 1-5 hitters are interchangeable.....

Try:

Speaker
Fox
Jackson
Musial
Rolfe
Leo / loob

I like Klippstein anywhere lately but Guisti had a great year in Dome for me on a bad team Hard to guess on relievers Miller has been decent for me in other parks Never had Smith I have seen Staley do wonders but been a dog for me Probably never draft him again Wyatt Bahnsen Osinski and Lasher cheap options I have had luck with at times Probably Bahnsen good bet in Dome When I saw your lineup figured I would tell you to drop Medwick then saw his surprisingly good #'s Might consider a better defensive SS than Pesky in Dome but he's pretty reliable hitter :P 8) :?:

I would drop Pesky for a defensive, RH, RBI producing cheap SS like Peckinpaugh or Chapman or Fernandez. With salary cap savings I would drop Staley and Pena and fill with best available RP and backup C.

I agree Staley is hurting you, but so is Hughson and you're wasting Musial in the leadoff spot. Let him drive in some runs. As for hughson, his ERA is great and he's keeping you in games but Staley is losing them. Hughson is a great #2 or 3 but your ace needs to be 10+ games over .500. Work the trade route. I would look to try and package a deal together with Hughson, Staley and Pesky for an ace, a 1 at SS and a LH RP.

Thanks for all the good advice. I have Musial at leadoff only because he was underperforming at cleanup, hitting in the .280s until he got hot recently when I moved him to 1. Now that he's back on track, I'll drop him down to 4.

I tried to acquire Wagner, but no luck there. Will try other trade options. I've never used Chapman, but he's available as FA. Pesky isn't exactly lighting it up for me offensively, but will Chapman deliver numbers close to Pesky?

Bob Miller is a reverse righty, and available; is he better than Staley in the Astrodome???
