...finally decided on 1941. Couldn't resist Ted's .400 season, or the year Joltin Joe hit in 56 straight. These are the card sets, not the computer discs, btw. Purchased the '20 and '78 recreated seasons last year, and had lots of fun replaying the 78 Red Sox, and am about a third of the way in to the 20 White Sox season. I'll probably go for the 67 season in a few months. Or maybe the 75 season. Or perhaps the 27 season. I just wish they had the 61 season! Eventually, I'd like to own them all. A little off topic, I know. But had to share with someone!

I am currently replaying the entire '78 season using the CD-ROM version. It's been great fun. Those Red Sox had better not break my heart again.......

I wish i could get my 17 year old son interested in the board game, but he just doesn't get into it. Don't want to just play with myself....i mean, play strat with myself...awww, you KNOW what i mean! :wink:

replayed the '67 AL is a great close race, same with '62 NL...'64 both ways is about as even as it gets

my fave replay is probably the '56 NL with the Reds, Braves, and Dodgers going at it.

btw, this is non cpu, but throwing the dice.

winners of aforementioned were:
'67 AL -- MINN (Bos had a 2 game lead going into the final weekend and got swept by DET)...ouch, Bos was my team.
'64 NL -- Cards, AL- Birds // Cards win it all
'56 NL -- Dodgers (still a favorite strat team)

as a side note I always love when a middle-of the pack team wins the replay (see 1950 NY Giants, 1996 Rockies)
