Bummer, I was all excited that ME had a 964 and I was likely to pick first. I don't really play the lottery, so I had no idea that it was part of a tri-state system. Whatever, AZ is fine.

I agree with those who are confused by the draft system, as I can't seem to get any of the players to appear to set a proxy or do much of anything. Does the player set have to get put in the draft or is there something I'm missing?

I'm excited to get started ASAP, but I think we can use a little bit of a tutorial from someone who has used the site before. Thanks, guys.

nothing can be done until the draft has started. i have just started it so now you should be able to check everything out. there is no clock so if theres any questions dont hesitate to ask. using the help feature on the site gives you a walk through of what to do. since there are a few first timers we will go 2 rounds without a clock if everyone thinks thats long enough. its pretty easy and everyone should pick up on it quickly. good luck and good drafting!

Ok, yeah, it looks pretty straightforward now. I do have a question about proxies:

What does the round option do? If I select round 2 for the proxy, will it not pick the guy until round 2 of the draft?

i personally dont use the round option. you dont have to put in a round, but yes it does pick them in the round you have them set in.

That is exactly why I was bummed I didn't get the first pick. Oh well, can't be helped now. Slappy Mcbluelips is a nice consolation prize with the horrible depth at 3B. Holliday goes next and it's Ray's pick.....

Stupid NM lottery...I've picked in the bottom three in every keeper league draft I've had. Oh well, I guess I'll have a better shot at Longoria this way. So is there a time limit for rounds after the first?

I think after the second round is what it's currently set for. I also think, though, that what was causing the problems for those of us new to the draft site was simply that the draft hadn't started yet. Now that it's going, I'd be ok with adding the time limit after round one, once everyone has at least had a chance to log in.

Dont ever use the round option or you will end up having proxies that will not fire. If you have Carlos Pena set as a proxy for round 1 and no one picks him and it is now round 2, your proxy will not fire and you will have to manually pick him. The group option is great for keeping them in order and will fire in order regardless of the round. FYI :)
