My 1st Championship Team

My 1st Championship Team

Postby KEITHLAMONT » Sun Nov 23, 2008 1:02 am

After going 0-11 in my first eleven playoff teams, if finally happened. How ironic as a Red Sox fan I win my first Championship in Fenway with Jim Rice being my playoff MVP! This was a team I felt very confident about going into the season, but started off slowly. My gut instict was to blow up the team, but thanks to AT for a previous post about sticking with the team and not selling your players, "We are the Champions of the World". :D

Congrats klx! 8-)

However your link doesn't work. Go to your league statistics by team. Click on your team there and copy the URL. This URL will have a number at the end. Paste that here and we can then enjoy your team too. If it doesn't have a number at the end of the link we can't see it.

Congratulations!! 8-) You were due. Post those Champions so we all can revel in their glory! Now that you have broken through, you will be getting many more championships. My first one took awhile and then I got another real quick. Besides the true mark of a good GM/Coach is playoff appearances, because everyone knows that ANYTHING can happen in a short series,..or even a best of 7. Getting to the playoffs is the real test of a GM. 8-)

Congratulations!

It took me a while to get my first championship as well.

Then my very next team won it all! And my next team looked promising but lost the first series of the playoffs. And, ever since I've been in a slump, lucky to have a team with a winning record, much less make the playoffs or win it all!

The gods of baseball are so fickle.

Nope. We see your schedule, not your team. Go to statistics and then click on your team. Copy the URL and paste here. It should look like this>

Actually after posting this I just copied the above link and added your team number from your standings link. Here is your team.

thx LMB! :)

I, also owe you credit for some of your advice as well. I rested Mcgwire & Parrish down the stretch to make sure they were healthy. I started the playoffs injury free!

I like to see Buck Weaver make the most of his 72 at bats for you with a .361 batting average. Nice team.

Thx Uncle Milty, he was a soldier pinch hitter for me until he got hurt early in the playoffs, lucky I pulled things out without him! :)
