Thanks to Strato!

Thanks to Strato!

So, as a self diagnosed strat addict, I thought it would be nice to give thanks to the game that has taken up the majority of the time in my day for the past year. I'll start of the Thanksgiving then!

Thanks to strato I:
Have a reason to get out of bed in the morning instead of sleeping in.
Have a reason to stay up till approx. 12:30am when I have class in the morning.
Change plans/dont make plans for 5pm on waiver days.
Have a seriously depleted bank account.
Dont feel as depressed in the winter when there is no baseball.

Im sure I will think of more reasons over the coming days! Anyone else add in your thanks as well!

Hi my name is Grant and I'm a Straddict.

I woke up the other night and realized I was dreaming about why Andruw Jones costs almost double Omar Vizquel in this set.

I am thankful for the strat community in particular this is Dan, this is Ray, and Jagman, close friends that i introduced to strat and have much more time to devote to this game than me. I am thankful that I don't live in Bombay. I am truly thankful for quiet boring upstate NY.

Happy Thanksgiving

I give thanks to strat o.I discovered it in the back of a magazine in 1983,I was 13yrs old,i got about 4 friends into it and we played non stop it seemed for that summer.I think i slept at my own house 30% of the time that summer.
I put it down when i became "too cool" at around 17 and didnt pick it back up till i was divorced and living alone at 27.I'm 39 now and a full time single parent of a 8 yr old boy so I'm home every night and strat o is enjoyable for me.My son and I played our first baseball game the other day(2003 Marlins for me,the 1998 Yankees for him, mussina vs Dontrell willis no relief pitchers used.He won 14-4.Can't wait for a few more years when he and I can play competitively against each other.
Football is my favorite and now a days i play alone and have been doing an all time great teams tournament for the last 4 years(most teams have 11 games played so far)and since i discovered these message boards and the online baseball all this week I will be picking up the cd rom Football.
Thank you strat o matic
