680 plus plate appearances means can not miss more than the rest of the game. In other words he will play in 162 games!

Cabrera at the midpoint of the season at PNC

285 35 80 14 1 5 29 28 38 11 0 4 .281 .348 .390

I'll take that, especially given his glove.

Spisi - They are talking about how many games a player can be out due to an injury. Anyone over 680 plate appearances can only miss the rest of the game. If a player has less than that, they can miss anywhere from 3 to 15 games depending on their plate appearances.
