If this kid is really 10, kudos to him for playing a game most of his generation would not even try. And for him to be successful is amazing! I started at the age of 8 or 9 with a kid three years older than me,... in 1979. We played basic version only,...at first. By my early teen years we switched to advanced. But we still did not use stadiums,...even as teenagers. We need more kids of the ,"Madden" generations to play Strat! I guess it is up to fathers to pass the game down to their kids. My favorite cards growing up, Rod Carew 1977, and George Brett 1980. Keep the faith kid, and keep playing!

You should have seen Carew's 73 card. absolutely beautiful. I believe he even had 14 home runs that year and hit .359. AA stealer. The only downer was he was a 4 range at second and he hadn't played any first base yet in his career. Man what a card.

repeat after me...StratOMatic is a baseball simulation game. I have replayed historic seasons...teams with rostered players and pretty much duplicated the exact season records and results. It is unfortunate you have a lot of bad league. I once lost a semifinal series with a 103 win team that lost against a team with a yuck-yuck 79-83 record. It happens. Injuries are tough. HAL can be tough. However, its all part of the game. Better luck in your future StratOEndeavors.

[quote:2cf8b8cc4d="pwootten"]Nice managing job Shaq. Getting to the playoffs takes some skill. Winning the playoffs is often about luck. Get there enough and you'll win your share (I keep telling myself).[/quote:2cf8b8cc4d]

Ah geez...Shaq, don't take ANY advice from PWooten.....

Love ya Paul!!! Any good theme leagues in the queue (HAAA!)

I can tell you if they had Strat in prison,....there would be a lot less fights. Or wait a minute,......maybe there would be more fights,...I am not sure.
