I know these awards mean nothing, but I find it amazing how some pitchers are loved by the "voters". :?
Example
In a league that just finished.
3 Finger 27 wins 12 losses 2.93 ERA
Pete 25 wins 15 losses 3.14 ERA

Pete wins the Cy Young!

I can relate. I had Vuckovich lead the league with a 25-10 record in Huntington. He wasn't mentioned in the top 5 and he lead Pete by 2. :?

For of us who have watched NBC Baseball on TV, especially in the old days I just had to respond with a Curt Gowdy / Tony Kubek classic.

Yes, 3 Finger had the stats but Pete has unique characteristics in the clubhouse that mere fans cannot follow.

HAL loves the strikeout pitchers and the home run hitters for these awards.

Moriarity's Vuckovich winning 25 games should be a hands-down winner!
