SCRUBS CAN PLAY ALSO filled and waiting for draft.

I'm OK either way...reorganizing or as is...especially since we'll try to do four leagues..

Why not have a lottery pick in which the top team picks a position, and then the second... each position calls for three teams, so once a position is filled another one must be chosen until all is filled.... if somebody feels one position is better than another.. why not have a reverse lottery on everybody second choice..... just some more logs in the fire....
Determine lottery position by state lottery..

A. three teams will have scrubs at C, 1b and a SP position.
B. three teams will have scrubs at 2b, LF and a SP position.
C. three teams will have scrubs at SS, RF and a SP position.
D. three teams will have scrubs at 3b, CF and a SP position.

Novie put it better than I did, ofcourse, but yes, there are tons of cheap ss, but whomever gets bancroft gets a huge advantage over the rest of the c group, (sort of like petrocelli in the 1969 game) im more than willing to try it, for all the reasons stated above modmark, but thought a couple of minor changes would help. a four league run solves alot, if everyone commits, but I think novie's suggestions of changing the coupling helped. there are lots of scrub c/1b who regularly start on teams that win...bancroft is the ONLY everyday ss you regularly find in a lineup. CF would become almost exclusively a defensive position for that division. 2b also has some regulars that atleast platoon. whatever the group decides, Im in, but since you're offering modmark, I would prefer group A, if everything stays the same. .

MM, just to seperate some of the suggestions, you could do a lottery to assign position theme, 1,4,7,10 group a, 2,5,8,11 group b etc...

I'm having difficulty coming up with groupings that make sense (to me), when I try to incorporate Novie's suggestions. Here's what I came up with - [color=blue:e912887e1a]OPTIONAL GROUPINGS:
Group A: 1b, SS, SP
Group B: C, 2b, SP
Group C: 3b, Corner OF, SP
Group D: CF, two SP (can share the #4 spot, each must get 14 starts, min.)[/color:e912887e1a]If you guys like this setup more, chime in. I don't have a problem with either set up, and yes, He's Meat can take my Group A if you all prefer the original groupings. And, making it a 4 season league is fine by me. I am not going to HOLD anyone to a 4 season commitment, however. If you need/want to drop out, that is fine. About a week before the season ends, I will send out info on the next league. Every owner has his spot GUARANTEED, but may drop out, no problem, if necessary. We can do a lottery for picks, but, with a 4 season theme, we would all have to play each group, eventually. For the time being, I will post where we are at the moment. I REALLY don't care what group I start with. I have magic in my hands, and can make any scrub a STAR! :)

I think the alternate looks a little more even MM, but whatever the group decides is fine by me. it's a cool idea, didn't mean to mess with it.

SCRUBS CAN PLAY ALSO league. $80m, no DH (would prefer a frenzy, but it would have to be on a Friday or Saturday night for me. Otherwise, I'd agree to a waiver's, if the league wishes).
Two Restrictions in this theme -
1. Every team will have three STARTING "scrub" players at .99 or lower. These scrubs are broke down in the following GROUPS:
A. three teams will have scrubs at C, 1b and a SP position.
B. three teams will have scrubs at 2b, LF and a SP position.
C. three teams will have scrubs at SS, RF and a SP position.
D. three teams will have scrubs at 3b, CF and a SP position.
The scrub position players MUST be in your starting lineups at all times, unless they are injured. They may NOT be replaced for a defensive backup, UNLESS the backup is also a .99 or less scrub. Any backup for a scrub must be another scrub. The scrub SPs must get a minimum of 26 STARTS for you doing the season.
2. No EXTREME Hitting or Pitching Parks. Therefore, these parks will be banned - Fenway 67, Huntington, Baker, both Polo's, Yankee 27, Busch 64, Yankee 56, Municipal 54, Forbes, Griffith, Candlestick, Dodger 65, Astrodome, Royals, Olympic and both County stadiums.
There are still plenty of hitting & pitching parks left. Parks would NOT be unique.
Could be fun to play in some seldom used parks, and our draft cards would certainly have a different look. What would the value become of C. Hiller or Maz at 2b, Groat at SS, B. Buckner at 1b, W. Davis in CF or a J. Hegan at C? Would J. Alou or G. Shuba become someone's top 5 pick? Could R. Caldwell win 20 games for someone?
The groupings will not be bunched in the same divisions; every division will have one of each type of team in it. Sign up below in the Division and Scrub group of your choice:

EAST
1. Group A - He's Meat
2. Group B - Ranger
3. Group C - rosenthm
4. Group D - buster j ratt (tentative, must hear back for confirmation)
CENTRAL
1. Group A - Frank M
2. Group B -
3. Group C -
4. Group D - 13Baseballs
WEST
1. Group A - TomP
2. Group B -
3. Group C - Modmark
4. Group D - fowldawg

If we are going to do four seasons, let's just keep it as it is. It will even out in the long run. I'm fine either way .....changing to the revamped options if the group wants to do that.
