Relievers can start games?

Relievers can start games?

Game 144
Teams Probable Starter
Loopers (69-72) at Kuo, H. (L)
Mantas (90-51) Westbrook, J. (R)
at US Cellular Field

I didn't realize that this was a possiblity. The SP in the normal rotation is injured and Kuo has been scheduled to start in his stead.

Yup, if your all your starters are unavailable (rest)and you have an injury to a SP, then a reliever will be called on the start in the injured pitcher's stead.

Kuo does have a starter rating though (S5) not just a relief rating btw.

I actually had a relief pitcher start for me once in a world series game. It was the strangest thing because I had a starter who could have pitched that game.
