Theme league: two-team

Theme league: two-team

Postby corey375 » Tue Dec 16, 2008 4:50 am

Want to give this a shot, and hoping to find 11 takers. Here's what I'm thinking:

2007/$80 million/10% FA drop penalty

We each "draft" two teams (one AL, one NL, random draft order), then choose our rosters from our two teams. Managers are also allowed to draft one "wild card" player from any of the undrafted teams. Your stadium is one of your teams' stadiums.

We'll vote on whether or not to have a DH, so when you sign up, please indicate your preference. (I won't vote so we don't have a tie.) Stick your name in whatever division you feel like being in.

Okay, I'm home sick from work today and a guy can only sleep so much, so I thought I'd go through and check the salaries for MLB teams to make sure this league made sense. Then I figured I might as well share what I found. (Keep in mind, these are just rough estimates, +/- $2 million.

Bad time of year to try this, wait until after the holidays at least and/or until the new cards come out. New theme leagues ALWAYS are tough to launch this time of year 'cause most of us are burned out on the current card set and have to much going on in "real life" with the holidays upon us.
And for me, I'd rather it was a 100mil cap, if it was I'd probably join, but that's just me.
