I think the idea of simply making a stadium pick in conjunction with a player pick at any time you want to during the player draft is the way to go. That way, the guys who want to wait until Round 6 to pick their stadium can do so, and the guys who really want a certain stadium can pick it in the 1st Round, or during any round in between.

If you decide to stay with the separate stadium round, do you want me to make that first pick any time today, or do you want me to wait until 7:30 to kick off that process?

The way I envisioned this working with the unique stadium draft pick is, it essentially is a 7th round pick. To speed things up, I came up with the idea that as long as we make the picks in the proper draft sequence, you can choose your stadium at any time! Any time! The only reason some people may want to wait is so they can best pick a ballpark that suites their top draft choices better. That way if people decide to pick their stadiums after the 6 live draft choices, we only have a few to wait for. You can make your stadium selection now if you want. Before the draft tonight I will create 2 more threads, the actual draft thread, and the quick check thread with an up to date list of people's picks. I'll post the stadium picks on that thread. Again, I'm always open to new suggestions or options to speed things up.

I don't see why we can't slip the Stadium pick in during the Player Live Draft ... and any stragglers who had to wait behind the one who hasn't picked a Stadium can make them ... in sequence ... in an abbreviated Round 7 at the end of the Player Live Draft ... [color=red:664b189eba]maybe within a 20-30 min. time limit of the last Player pick [/color:664b189eba]... 'cause we might want to base pitcher and player selections not only on our own stadium, but the others that will be in the League.

I know I'd be more willing to select a Stadium after I get 3 or 4 players on my Roster and away from the 11 thieving Rascals that'll try to snare them before I can ... maybe if the Stadium Selecting List is in[color=red:664b189eba] RED [/color:664b189eba] it would stand out so the next person knows its their Stadium turn ... maybe that might address Petro's concerns ... otherwise, as he suggested, just make it Round 7 with its own sequence ... with those with the top picks just going ahead in sequence before then if they so desire ... there's pluses and minuses no matter what ... 8-)

OK. I will check in to the stadium draft site tonight when you set it up. I'll probably make 2-3 player picks before I make the first stadium pick. So don't look for me to kick off the stadium draft before Round 3 guys.

... OR you could open a Quicksilver Stadium Draft thread along side the Draft thread and the Chat thread we've had traditionally ...
