Not sure on the format you're looking for on the randomizer. Assuming it's going to be 1-4 5-8 and 9-12 for the divisions, I ran the randomizer.

Research Randomizer Results

1 Set of 12 Unique Numbers Per Set
Range: From 1 to 12 -- Unsorted

Job Status:

Set #1:

11, 10, 8, 6, 12, 9, 7, 2, 5, 3, 4, 1

If that's not what you're looking for then sorry.

and jflatour99, the website is at http://www.randomizer.org/form.htm

Thanks to whoever posted my team for me (cards/royals) I am looking foward to this. I love theme leagues. I have been away from the game for about a year and I am excited to start up again. Good luck to all. chasenally. Mike

A potential problem

Postby jflatour99 » Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:11 pm

About the drafting mecanism: [quote:62422c9d41] During the autodraft, you must list your free-agents in the top six que positions (or less if you choose fewer than six free-agents). After listing the free-agent que order at the top of your auto-draft, then list your designated exclusive rights team's players.
[/quote:62422c9d41]

I think there could be some problems. Logically, if we rank in the 6 first places our free agents, in case that we make the same choices in the same round ex. we 're 4 people who wants the same cf, the computer will give the cf to someone and the 3 following cf in salary order to the 3 others. So, they could get Sizemore who's after (let's say) Beltran . When i'll put Sizemore in my 7-25 ranks, he'll be already assigned...

For example:
I think that we should all choose 20 players (no more, no less) from our disignated teams in ranks 1-20 and the keep the 6 last spots for those who'll take free agents.

What do you think. Have you ever tried this kind of drafting mecanism for a theme league ?

Also, will you send us a password by our som mail system ?

Hey guys - two quick things:

1) if it hasn't already been answered - if you have sizemore in you're regular 7-25 picks because he's yours to have - it won't give him away, if he's only on your team then in the draft lists - you get him. It's when two or more individuals have the same guy that ranking order becomes an issue.

2) what did you use to make the original pairings? - Not in the league, but this one looks interesting may try to set up a second one.

1) Yeah but the strato computer don't know that the Sizemore rights are mine for the 7th round. For example, in the 1st round, After Beltran, he just give the next player in the cf by salary and if it's Grady, I suppose he'll go with it.

2) [quote:cc2eceaf19]Combined total wins & losses in regular season in '08 (e.g. Angels had the most & Nationals had the fewest, and so on in that order). [/quote:cc2eceaf19]

What you say makes sense, jflatour99. HAL is unaware of our theme and will be pulling players from our designated teams left and right to follow his ....[i:cc61acd4cf]the next highest-priced player that is the same primary position of the original player.[/i:cc61acd4cf].....logic.

Draft ranking change notice!!!

Postby mbrake » Tue Mar 03, 2009 9:29 pm

[b:5ddbd195e2]We can draft our designated exclusive rights teams players on the auto-draft que 1-19, followed by the 6 pure free-agents 20-25. [/b:5ddbd195e2] Are there any strong objections with reasonable alternatives? If not, we need to make sure everyone knows about this last minute change and the majority needs to agree. Everyone needs to respond please (asap) :!:

The minimum # of players on our final rosters from our designated teams is 19. [i:497c8cad8c].....25-28 man roster (no 24 man rosters)..... [/i:497c8cad8c] So positions 1-19 should be our teams players and positions 20-25 for team players/free agents. No?

I would amend your "the majority must agree" statement to "everyone needs to be aware of the change before we draft".
