If you had a team playing in Huntington Ave Grounds and this was your lineup:

Lineup vs. LHP

1. Leibold, Nemo (L) RF
2. Mantle, Mickey (S) CF
3. Banks, Ernie (R) SS
4. Carter, Gary (R) C
5. Cepeda, Orlando (R) 1B
6. Jones, Willie (R) 3B
7. Doerr, Bobby (R) 2B
8. Oglivie, Ben (L) LF
9. Pitcher P

Lineup vs. RHP

1. Leibold, Nemo (L) RF
2. Oglivie, Ben (L) LF
3. Mantle, Mickey (S) CF
4. Cepeda, Orlando (R) 1B
5. Banks, Ernie (R) SS
6. Carter, Gary (R) C
7. Doerr, Bobby (R) 2B
8. Jones, Willie (R) 3B
9. Pitcher P

Where do you think they'd rank in run production???

For crying out loud, my leadoff hitter Leibold has reached base 14 times and scored only ONE run.

Oglivie perhaps not the ideal choice for a #2 hitter

I know, but I really don't have anybody else who is more ideal, I figured give him a shot and see what happens. He does have low DP's and a decent OBP vs. RHP's though, and he's not too slow to clog up the bases either.

.243 OBP won't win in any park.

Here are your lineup numbers:

OBP vs RH 0.369
SLG vs RH 0.464
OPS vs RH 0.833
HR Rate vs RH 5.9
BPHR vs RH 48
OBP vs LH 0.378
SLG vs LH 0.498
OPS vs LH 0.876
HR Rate vs LH 5.0
BPHR vs LH 48

I have tried this approach a couple of times, plagerized it from Steve Ames. Mine was a bit different, better SPs, but good hitters with high HR rate and BPHRs and decent picthing, but lower OBP. So far one failure, one finals team and one catastrophic failure in progress.

79 wins

Finals Team

Catastrophe

All this aside, it seems like you are trying the "play from behind" scenario again hoping to win a lot of games late with a strong pen in a hitters park. Not sure you have the OPS/OBP to make that happen, but time will tell.

Best of luck, sschu
