auto draft complaints

I guess it is an old complaint but it just doesnt seem fair.
I ranked Manny and Utley one and two and apparantly lost both players to the same team. It seems their should be a more equitable approach that if you lose your number one you should have priority to win your number two.

If you really ranked them 1 and 2, and you really lost them both to the SAME team that is NOT fair. Are you positive about ranking them 1 and 2?

You have to try and be creative, of course certain guys are always going to be popular, ie; Manny, Chipper, and others. But there are so many ways, and players to build a champion with, that you should be able to recover. That is the challenge of being a GM.

Do you think the other 29 GMs just throw in the towel simply because the Yankees have an ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS ADVANTAGE OVER EVERY OTHER TEAM IN MLB? And yet the Yankee chokers still find a way to blow it every year. Can you imagine if you could spend 2 to 5 times as much as every other team,...and you did not win it all every year? Yes,.. I would be burying my head in the sand too. Poor poor Yankee fan and their idiot owner and GM. If ever there was a definition of a losing organization, it would have to be the modern day Yankees. Can you imagine what would happen if they could only spend as much as the Royals or Indians? They would lose 100 games every year. What a joke!

I did not mean to bash you.....at all! I just meant to bash the Yankees and baseball for being so stupid, and not having a salary cap,....respectively.

I would say, they don't a salary cap, they just need to share the local broadcast rights. THAT would even the field versus the Yankees. *That's* where their monetary advantage is.

Bing! Correct answer! What should really happen is that the As, Twins or the Royals (or all small market teams) should just forfeit every game in New York. The broadcast revenue should be half their money! Why that wasn't changed years ago is beyond me.
