AL/NL league w/twist, West can load

Roster makeup

Postby pcbaseballsims » Wed Apr 01, 2009 5:01 pm

Kevin or anyone...I can go back to pg 1 for all the particulars, what is the min or maximum # of players we can carry from [b:15e3f791c4]each[/b:15e3f791c4] franchise?

After looking at that microscopic HOME ERA why in the world would the Padres trade [b:15e3f791c4]Peavy[/b:15e3f791c4]? $ ! What else. To $ave $ even though he signed a multi yr deal for the "hometown discount". Dealt by trade deadline.

ironwill 1 said:[quote:720f1ad63e]Problem with the first pick is the 24th. i thought the first 3 or 4 were interchangable. 24 however will be a crap shoot. I'm already looking for a SS and a C. Nice to have at least 9 decent pitchers and some good O and D to start. 24 scares me though...

Snake drafts are usually pretty fair.

[quote:96772297f7="rmilter"]By the way it has been over three hours since the last
pick, I was hoping we could make some hay today/tonight.[/quote:96772297f7]

Doesn't matter no one will be skipped, we're done when we're done.

That said I'm going out of town on the 12th, (headed to the Big Apple to see the Mets in their new digs :D ) through the 15th, and REALLY hope we are done by then.

The difference between the first pick and the 12th pick is greater than the difference between the 13th and 24th pick. You may get a team at 24, that someone else considered taking at 13. You can not get much fairer than snake drafts.

Postby pcbaseballsims » Wed Apr 01, 2009 7:05 pm

The Dodgers today announced they are adding Barry (US) Bonds to their roster. General Mgr Ned Colletti said, "we now have a legitimate LH hitter to protect Manny in our lineup". :P

Bonds added hes donating his $alary to his favorite charity.

Oops...forgot "Gotcha". Thats why they dont call this April geniuses day.

Ok enough wisecracks, just filling dead space, we await JKL's selection.

Milty,

I wasn't complaining. Each spot has it's pros and cons. I meant that the first spot isn't necessarily the best spot.

Iron Will 1,
I am sorry if I explained myself too strongly. You are absolutely right on the money, each spot does have its ups and downs.
