Well the 20% salary hit means nothing since we will have a 25M cap limitation in a 200M league. You could take a 20% hit every single day and still have a 25M team.

This league will have extremely few in-season free agent moves.

LMBombers asks:
Well the 20% salary hit means nothing since we will have a 25M cap limitation in a 200M league. You could take a 20% hit every single day and still have a 25M team.

I asked for clarification early on:

[quote:a7054de2c8]I have a question for clarification. The league will need to be a 200 mil league (as I understand it, the 60, 80, and 100 mil leagues all have minimum team salaries that are above 25 mil). So, at the start of the season each team will have 25 mil salary and 175 mil cash. Let's say that a team cuts a 2 mil player (getting back 1.6 mil), now does that team have (a) 24.6 mil salary cap and 175 mil cash, or (b) 25.0 mil salary cap and 174.6 mil cash?

signed, franky (former manager of the Crack Hos, if anyone remembers that 25 mil league)[/quote:a7054de2c8]

Commissioner Rick Smith replied [quote:a7054de2c8]The answer is A. 24.6 mil[/quote:a7054de2c8]

LMBombers, to state it a different way, each team will always maintain at least 175 mil cash for the entire season.

As a side note, in the last 200 mil league we did not have this rule and one manager did what you suggested - using free agent moves to change starting pitchers for each series. That was me. I made the maximum number of free agent moves (125).

But in this league, the commissioner isn't allowing that.

Stupid question but when did it become LOWEST to HIGHEST on the lottery numbers? I have always been in drafts that a high number is a good thing to draft 1st (not that in this league there is going to be any rhyme or reason to where we draft)!

Thanks LMB for setting up the draft!

Sneeze - I've seen it go each way (low to high and high to low) - as long as the intent is stated before the numbers are drawn it's fair either way.

Oh, and everyone PLEASE USE PROXIES!!!!!

Man I hope Boog is there at #7!

Franky - just copy the url from the last league and paste it here - hopefully that works, as it would be nice to see.

I don't know what a "url" is. This address doesn't look specific enough:
