Thanks Franky - yes this is a url you posted, but it only takes me to one of my other '69 leagues - can anyone post how to post a specific league?

How about this Franky - go to the leaders section and highlight the whole page (press control key while holding down the left mouse button and scroll to the bottom). Then release the mouse button and press the "c" key while holding the control key down. Then open a new post window here and press "v" while also holding control down. That will copy the whole leaders board to a post here - it will be long, but that's all we need.

thanks! Sorry if that's too basic - you probably know how to do this already. I am just anxious to see the list. :?

Is this enough? I don't want to totally fill up the message board.

1st Draft Pick - Brant Alyea

Postby kenhutchings » Wed May 27, 2009 9:51 am

In my opinion, BA is one of the bargains of the '69 game, if you can put up with his fielding. In one league I competed in, he actually led the league in homeruns at the beginning of the season and eventually ended up with 28 homeruns.

I remember Alyea with the Twins in 1970-71. In '70 he hit .291/16 HR and had more than 250 AB then hit a wall and hit less than .200 in '71. He was the great hope for replacing KBrew for a year...

Interesting that my top 4 proxies went in the first six picks! I didn't see that coming with a $25M roster. Watch out, Bud Harrelson will be kicking those people in the shins all season! :)

James Edward Hicks didn't have the major league career of Frank Robinson, with a 5 year career total of 5 HR, 23 hits and an average of .163; but 1969 was his career year, collecting 4 HR, 2 triples and 17 walks. Actually, May-June 1969 were his career months, collecting all of his hits in 1969. He was 0 for 22 in the months april, july, august and september. But he's my first round pick.
