I view him (as do most of the leagues I've been in, as he is almost always available) as a last, worst case scenario. If there was a cheapie high AVG guy to platoon in CF that's one thing, but in a pitchers' park he absolutely SUCKS vs. LHP.
Speed (by that I mean the 1-17 not the steal ratings) are much more important in this game than most realize, and Grady is an excellent example. That's why, my current thinking sees him as a tip top of the order guy, to take advantage of that. If you've got HR guys behind him and hopefully, a good #9 OBP hitter (Escobar) I think it could work.
Best case scenario, have someone else play CF for you...
