You have to have an even number of rounds to keep the serpentine draft order fair. That is why I suggested 26 earlier but someone though the somdraft.com could only do a max of 25 rounds - is that true?

Live draft

If 25 draft is indeed max lets just do last pick on this thread to keep ballparks in draft. Otherwise lets do 26.

The following drafts were all 26 rounds on somdraft.com: SUMMER1969, NL1969, AL1969, NL1969II, AL1969II.

I would agree that 26 rounds is the right way: each team picks one guy from each of the 24 franchises, a unique stadium and one "wild card" player from any team. After the autodraft, players can come & go as long as each owner maintains one player per 1969 franchise.

I don't know if we should let owners draft the "wild card" player at any time during the 26 rounds or specify that these guys need to get drafted in either the 25th or 26th round. I'd prefer to leave it "open"; if an owner wants to draft Frank Robinson and Boog Powell from the Orioles with his first two picks, so be it.

I agree - let's do 26 rounds then and you can pick your wild card any time. This also makes the draft more "forgiving" if someone accidentally picks two players from one franchise (but only once!).
