BUT-you get a credit JUST FOR GETTING TO ROUND 1 OF THE PLAYOFFS. So, the odds of getting at least 1 credit (on a random basis) are EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN A 12 TEAM LEAGUE. (4/24 vs. 2/12). AND, the credits are slightly richer in a 24 team league, even on a per player basis - 3 for the world series champion, 2 for the world series finalist, and 1 each for the other playoff contestants, for a total of 7/24 - better (albeit slightly better) than the 3/12 in a 12 team league.
If it's about the credits, that means you ARE NO WORSE OFF, and actually SLIGHTLY BETTER in a 24 team league.
If it's about making the playoffs, then you have a point. BUT, think of it winning your division as roughly equivalent to the first round of the playoffs. In other words, the pennant race in your division is like the first round. If you are good enough to make a run for a playoff spot, then you are 1 of 8 teams battling - or exactly twice as many as the 4 teams that actually make the playoffs in a 12 team league - NO REAL DIFFERENCE. :) G :D
