OK, I'll make this a 16-team league. I'm still trying to figure out the schedule, but I'll try to make all things equal.

For those who haven't entered their ideal line-up, don't hesitate to do so, but please edit your previous posts rather than making new posts (easier for me to have everything on the same page).

Coming from a true Indians fan, that team is doomed to fail because Andy Marte is on the roster. Also, K for Kelly Shoppach doesn't help matters either ...

Just to give you a litte update.

I have run five seasons so far.

Here is the unofficial standing so far.

Apolivka 93-69
Luckyman 91-71
Neutral dream team 90-72
Pitching dream team 86-76 (a team consisting of the 4 most *SP)
McSoupy 85-77
Annonymous' Camden 84-78
Ggap 82-80
Waldenhd 81-81
Geekor 80-82
Injury-dream team 79-83
J-Pav 77-85
J-Pav's Dream Team 77-85
Maligned 77-85
Exwallman 74-88
CaptAM 74-88
Anonymos Sluggers team 67-95

Looks like Apovlika has had his hand on a winning formula.

BTW, Apovlika, you didn't put any dh in your proposition (at least, not that I can see of). So I made a few changes (reduced your bullpen) and added a D.young/C. Floyd platoon. Looks like it didn't hurt you.

My own team is doing pretty good.

This said, I'm still tweaking in the parameters. I have some teams in which Balfour pitches only 80 or so innings, so I play with the individual ratings to increase that.

If you have last-minute changes, it's time to do it. Write your change in separate posts here. For example, some teams didn't put their ideal line-up. I know it's tough since you dont see the stats, but if you have some specific criteria (e.g. to have success I need this pitcher to have 300 innings), it's time to write it down.

I will run the official sims this week.

BTW, in case you wonder, there is no division. It's a 16-team league where every team plays 10 or 11 games against each other.

I tried to put the same rules in the sims as in TSN, but there are a few things different.

BTW, keep in mind that these teams are the cream of the cream, so a team with a losing record here could very well be succesful in most leagues. Also, many cards have been duplicated, as some players were taken by many teams. So this league does not pretend to represent what can go on in real TSN.

Thx for taking the time to do this, as I know the sims are pretty time consuming.

Looks like the usual bell curve structure you get when teams are evenly matched.

Secret Formula team...

vs LHP

1. Dillon, J. (R) 1B
2. Furcal, R. (S) SS
3. Mauer, J. (L) C
4. Renteria, E. (R) DH
5. Hudson, O. (S) 2B
6. Victorino, S. (S) CF
7. Longoria, E. (R) 3B
8. Guillen, J. (R) RF
9. Lewis, F. (L) LF

vs RHP

1. Pagan, A. (S) I LF
2. Furcal, R. (S) SS

6. Hudson, O. (S) 2B
7. Victorino, S. (S) CF
8. Dobbs, G. (L) 1B
9. Lewis, F. (L) RF

Wagner to close, Johnson as set-up, Pinto avoid LHB, Cruz avoid RHB. Lowe, Dempster and Saunders set to slow hook.

My other team...

vs LHP

1. Roberts, B. (S) 2B
2. Sexson, R. (R) 1B
3. Dillon, J. (R) DH
4. Pearce, S. (R) LF
5. McCann, B. (L) C

Ok, so here is what I did:

I first ran 15 seasons, (edit) NOT including the five I already presented.

Here was the result of those 15 seasons:

Luckyman 91-71
Neutral Dream 89-73
Apolivka 84-78
Pitchers 84-78
Secret Team 83-79
Waldenhd 82-80
J-Pav Team 80-82
Geekor 80-82
McSoupy 80-82
Camden 80-82
CaptAM 79-83
Injury-dream team 79-83
Maligned 78-84
Sluggers 78-84
Ggap 76-86
Exwallman 74-88

Take note that, with 15 teams, the 95% confidence range was roughly 3 wins, meaning that I could be 95% confident that Luckyman's and Neutral-Dream team were better than all other teams.

Because I suspected that I had perhaps introduced some bias in the way I ran the seasons, I went over all the individual data of all teams and I made a few changes to help all teams.

Here is a list of changes I did:

Apolivka: like I wrote earlier, I introduced Floyd and D. Young as your platoon dh, made a few changes in the bullpen to get the money.
Camden: quick hook on all SPs. Slow hook on Balfour and Hawkins.
CAptAM: quick hook on all cheap RP
Secret team: went back and picked up Chipper and Roberts instead of Longoria and Hudson. In the process, in order to respect the cap, I dropped Dempster, Cruz, and Callaspo for Mussina, Weathers, and Castillo.
Exwallman: the computer wasn't platooning Petite and Ducksworth, and Ducksworth was getting killed. Also, your cheap relievers were pitching too many innings. So I dropped Ducksworth for Mahay, and made sure the cheapy relievers were restricted to specialist roles.
Geekor: changed settings to increase Papelbon usage
Ggap: quick hook on blackburn and Maddux; avoid lefties for Lilly. Set relief usage as very aggressive. Byrdak set at quick hook.
JPav: I only then realized that I had the wrong O.Perez, which meant that Sanchez was pitching 15-20 games per season. I also put the settings your referred to in your last post.
Maligned: no change; settings were already optimal
McSoupy: quick hook on most SPs. Kuo on slow hook.
Pitchers: Brandon Jones (0.5M) was playing too much (in the 400-500 AB range), and Burris was hurting as lead-off. So I removed the Izturis/Tulowsky platoon for Theriot, whom I moved to the leadoff spot. Changed Posada for Larue. Changed Teahen for Braggs. Added Griffey with the money saved.
Sluggers; REmoved Mather and Shoppach for a Bruce/Guillen and Varitek/Schneider platoons. Used the money to add pitching, notably Lowe as #1 SP and Papelbon as set-up/closer.
Waldenhd: your SPs, particularly Verlander and Greinke, were getting bombed. So they were put at quick hook. Settings for reliever set at aggressive. Was trying to have Qualls and Oliver in the 150-200 innings range, and Jenks in the 120 innings range. Miller was restricted to mop-up.
