Chess2899 (me) is replacing Jablowmi as 2010 Commissioner. We applaud Jablowmi for his hard work the last 2 years. We also give the ultimate thanks to Bernie for creating the Tourney Web page and prizes. You don’t have to call me Commissioner. Just call me “Czar”


Here are the rules:

4 seasons - 2 70s and 2 80s, all DH, unique stadiums for auto drafts (teams in the 4 individual leagues must play in 4 different stadiums). There is a penalty for repeat stadiums.

- 1 point for each regular season win
- 5 points for winning a regular season division title
- 5 points for winning the wild card position
- 5 points for making the finals
- 10 points for winning a league championship

1st season - 70s autodraft (80M)
2nd season - 80s autodraft (80M)
3rd season - 70s autodraft (80M)
4th season - 80s autodraft (80M).

Live drafts took too long in previous years and slowed down the process. The Final 12 can choose a Live draft or Autodraft.

Players must compete in all 4 seasons to be eligible. The first two autodrafts will start simultaneously. The 3rd season would then follow toward the end of the first two and the 4th season would follow toward the end of the 3rd.

Top 12 point getters make the championship season, which will be Live or Autodraft. However, 70s vs. 80s (and salary cap, if the 70s) will be determined by vote of the 12 players.

As an added bonus, every champion of every qualifying league in every event will be awarded 75 points towards their Manager Rating, instead of the usual 50 for "Advanced" leagues. Also, the Overall Tour Champion will be awarded 150 points instead of the usual 50 for winning the Champion's League. This even applies to non-Tour teams that are acting as "fillers".

This year's overall Winner will receive ALL of the following:

- The 70s'/80s Players' Championship Trophy*
- The 2009 season Strat-O-Matic Computer Game or Board Game/Card Set
- A 1-year subscription to The Sporting News weekly magazine
- An authentic autographed bat or jersey from a 70s/80s Hall of Famer

The runner-up will also receive the 1-year subscription and an authentic autographed bat or jersey from a 70s/80s Hall of Famer!

* - the Winner has the option to receive 4 team credits in lieu of the Championship Trophy.

Top 3 Points scorers after 4 rounds will receive an autographed ball from a 70s/80s Hall of Famer

The Manager who finishes unlucky 13th and out of the Final 12 receives an autographed item from a 70s/80s steroid tainted non-Hall of Famer (big clue) [/b:49b2bf5774]
