I wanted to get some rules solidified to get this going. I agree that the rules should be somewhat different than that of Palanions league and they should be somewhat simple, so:
1. 100 mil cap for the first season. Winner of the league chooses the cap for the next year (between 80 and 140 mil). DH is active, drop penalty will be 5/10/20.
2. 7 mandatory keepers, no more and no less. First round will be 3 keepers from your own roster. Next round will be 1 keeper stolen from another team (worst to first choose, only 1 player can be taken from a team so all teams lose 1 player). Next round will be 2 keepers from your own roster. Final round you can either keep someone from your team or steal a player from another team (worst to first, no limit on number of players stolen from a team). Added a little different wrinkle with the 2nd optional steal round. Keepers can be from any position (no batter/pitcher min or max). First three keepers due before the Championship game is over.
3. Divisions will be assigned as 1, 4, 7, 10 draft spots in the East . . . 2, 5, 8, 11 in the Central, and 3, 6, 9, 12 in the West. Divisions will re-align after 3 seasons using the same logic based on final standings.
4. No stadium restrictions (duplicates allowed, can be changed after each season if desired).
5. Post-keeper draft will be a board draft with first round from worst to first, snake format.
6. No restrictions on trading protected players in the offseason, but they must be even trades (1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc).
7. No limit on player pool.
8. I know we all check the boards regularly and are active, so there will be a lenient time restriction on draft picks. If you do not respond within 24 hours since the pick before you, your pick will be skipped and you cannot pick until your next scheduled pick (where you'd pick two players). If you miss 2 picks in row we will look for a replacement for you in the league. Proxies are allowed if you know you're going to be away.
We're still waiting for a few people to check in on this board and we got a replacement owner, Warrenbob!
