[quote:c2a6e060cb="BC Manager"]I'm now thinking the lack of available players may affect several teams. I propose we go ahead with the suggestion that all .75 players not eligible for 1980 become available as free agents. Does anyone object or have another suggestion to solve this problem?[/quote:c2a6e060cb]

I think that between the players from the two undrafted teams AND all 75¢ players NOT elligible for 1980, that there will be enough players to go round. It might not be pretty but I think it can all be "legal".

This rule is for 1980 only, correct?

I've already gone thru the .75 players and determined who's eligible as a FA (will post shortly). It will add:

C - 8
1B - 4
2B - 8
SS - 10
3B - 4
LF - 2
CF - 0
RF - 3

SP - 5
RP - 23

Total players - 67 (28 P, 39 H)

And yes, these players will only be available in 1980.

I checked all the players you posted above and agree that none of them are elligible in 1980 to any team. I moved Thurmond from RP to SP however.

That excel is so handy. Easy to sort teams, years, salaries.
It really scares me now as to what kind of team I'll field in 1980..... :)

Great spreadsheet. But WTH am I going to do for pitching? I guess we can't [u:b211f0b8f3]all[/u:b211f0b8f3] lose 100 games.

Well my Angels have a decent start to an offense:

1B - Carew
2B - Grich
SS - Thon
3B - Lansford
LF - Downing
CF - Rick Miller
RF - Dan Ford
DH - Baylor/Jason Thompson platoon

reserve OF - Al Cowens

I have no catchers and only 2 SP. However I think this start is decent as a starting point on which to try and improve. :)
