Injury rule clarification ?

Can someone clarify the injury rule? I read this injury info that someone posted:

* Players with over 599 Strat plate appearences (defined as at bats + walks, not actual MLB plate appearences) can only be injured a max of 3 games.
Players over 680 pa's can not be hurt.

Does the the 3 game max mean per injury roll or 3 games max per season
for a player with 649 plate appearances? Since I have a 600 + player who
is now on his second 3 game stint, I would assume that it's per roll but just
want to get a rule clarification from one of you veterans and make sure it's not a glitch.

Yup, it's per injury roll, not per season. So, it's theoretically possible for someone with 650 ab+walks to roll their injury roll every time during the season and miss every game three games at a time. :)

Thanks for looking out with the post. I guess the 680+ guys
are worth their weight in gold whether they have a injury
result or not on their cards.

Eh, maybe, maybe not. Those guys are usually highly sought after, and only so many are available. Good luck in the 2009 game finding very many of them on your team after the autodraft. The fun part of the game is finding out who is valuable to you in the set (that may or may not have injury potential) and matching them up with the subs who best fit your team.

It's not only the 8 position players who make a winner, but the bench players too! A 2 or 3 injury guy is not always to be avoided.

Mauer is at 599 plate appearances. Ive seen him rocking in one league and he has not been injured yet after 70 plus games......however the owner says he has already had 2x15 game injuries in another league.

He is undrafted in one of my current leagues but the 599 AB's just scare people away. 1 more AB and would grab him myself but 13mill is big chunk of 80 mil to be injured all the time.

There should be a max number of injured games allowed, like 30 or so.
