...why would a business want to run interstitial ads anyway, considering they are probably the most hated advertising method since the invention of the Pop-up? I can hear the ad executives in the board room..."Let's associate our business with a negative emotion by using interstitial ads."
It has got to be most frustrating for folks that have scads of SOM teams to update and keep up with.
If you are paying for an online service, such as this game, the maximum allowable advertising ought to be a single static banner ad. If the game was free, then sure, advertise all over the page. But even ESPN's free fantasy games keep the 'clubhouse' advertising limited to a few nondescript Google sponsored links at the bottom of the page and an unobtrusive programming ad.
I agree...when I saw the ad last night multiple times while checking out my (single) SOM team, I was unnerved.
