Please Help With Injury

Postby chrisfu » Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:17 am

In the 70's game, I have Butch Wynegar. He got injured.

2 outs, a runner on 2nd base, Wynegar singles and the runner scores, Wynegar hurt.... The only year where Wynegar has a clutch hit on his injury card is 1976.

I thought I had Wynegar 1976.

Tonight Wynegar got injured again. 2 outs, runners on 1st and 2nd base, Wynegar hits a single, the runner on 2nd scores and the runner on 1st holds on 2nd. Wynegar is hurt. In a clutch situation, shouldn't the runner on 1st have gone to 3rd. No other injury reveal lines up with either situation.

Is it the 1976 card or am I wrong about how the clutch situation works, do runners not advance 2 bases?

Thank you in advance for responses.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
I have noticed when I play the CDROM game, that when a clutch hit happens, occasionally instead of automatically advancing 2 bases, the offense has an option to hold the runners or try to advance an extra base. That's what happened here. I'm pretty confident that it's Wynegar 76.

It has to be the '76 card, even if TSN didn't execute the rule as expected. All of the other injury options had no possibility to convert to anything but an out.

There are some strange special rules that can affect how far a runner advances on a single in the computer version (such as our online game).
