The draft has been set up on DiamondDope. It is 8 rounds, serpentine style. Please consult the Master List for keepers so that when you draft you don't choose a player who belongs to another manager.

The clock is off until we get through the first round. JMHite can kick things off when he is ready.

Mark, I am confused. I see players available that are on managers rosters. What is up with that. I clicked on Aaron and it allowed me to make a proxy pick with my own keeper. I dont believe I have seen this before. I saw Luke Appling, Don McMahon, Rogers Hornsby, etc. They are all keepers. Shouldnt they not be on the list?[b:8bdee2f87c][/b:8bdee2f87c]

Dennis:

DiamondDope does not have an "exclude player" feature like MajorDeegan's old site did. Thus, I cannot exclude anyone's keepers from our Armchair draft.

To try to minimize the impact of this, I have created a Master Keepers List. It is already posted on this chat thread.

It seems to me that two things have to happen because of this:

1. Managers need to keep track of their own keepers.

2. Managers need to consult the Master Keepers List to make sure that they don't draft a keeper (their own, or someone else's).

All of this makes a DiamondDope draft a bit of an adventure, but we can avoid mistakes (hopefully), or fix them if they occur. Joe and I have admin rights if something goes wrong.

I have seven rounds of proxy picks. Hopefully I turned the button on, Joe if I get stuck call me. I will have my cell tonite. I am getting a spinal so I should be wide awake and full of drugs after surgery.

Charlie just traded Mcmahon for my second round pick. I accept. I changed my picks. But Charlie, go into my site and make your pick. I am leaving in 60 second for the hospital. I dont have your cell phone anymore. Mine is 630-202-9593. Hope this works out.

Just talked with Charlie, McMahon is traded for an owed 2nd round round from the Maris trade last season. By giving up McMahon Charlie kept his 2nd round pick in this draft

I'e been so busy that I haven't kept up with the draft this weekend. Good job, guys, in getting this done. I will try to get the league created by this evening.
