Back to baseball.....Jeep has the overall #1 pick. After being in about 20 '09 leagues with Jeep, you would think I would know who he would choose with his #1 pick......but I don't. I do know he is kind of an Adam Eaton fan. he named a whole league after him.

this league filled up and got started a bit faster than I expected. :shock:

I also have a little weekend get-away planned... will be leaving Saturday around noon (Eastern) and will not return until Sunday, probably sometime in the evening.

Shouldn't be a problem if we are using the usual "clock OFF over the weekend" and "no clock for the 1st round" provisions? I'll try to figure out how to leave proxies on the Diamond Dope site to help alleviate any delays I might cause however.

Well, we are 5 picks in. I just looked to see who I got and to my surprise I landed Mauer at 4. Wow, I wondered why he slipped to 4. Then I looked at the 80mil salary cap and found out why... So does anyone want him? I would like to release him now if it is possible, before we get much further.
If someone can approve the release, that would be swell.

I am usually against releasing after picking, but if he thought there was no cap, I would cut him some slack. I will wait until it is resolved before picking.
