I probably won't bother with changing the team name, it is pretty close to the 2 teams. I found out when I loaded in the Angels plus my targeted free agent, I was over the cap.

Here are my players:

Braves
H Aaron
F. Alou
F. Millan
C Boyer
Rico Carty
P Niekro
R Reed

Phils
W Fryman
R Wise
J James
M Ryan
D Allen
Rico Joseph
T Harmon
T Taylor
D Money
L Hisle
C Rojas*

Total team salary 62.85; Shibe Stadium

*Rojas is my selection assuming that, after the draft, we can add hitters so our roster can exceed 15 hitters. If we are limited to only 15 hitters, then I am dropping Rojas from my list and adding a Phillie pitcher.

Jett - the google docs thing is cool - thanks - I have only a Blackberry tethered connection this weekend so I am extremely slow, but will try to get my team entered once I have a second franchise.

I imagine we will have to FREEZE the posted 18 man rosters once the player draft starts. Up until then anyone can make changes within the 7/11 boundaries.

Franky - that's fine, as long as you come out of the draft with a 7/11 compliant, draftable (15H, 10P) roster, you can make any changes after the league is formed (during free agency). As the season progresses we can make any legal moves within the 7/11 boundaries and the 80M cap (i.e. add/drop penalties will apply). So I would be able to drop one Twin for another, for example, to maintain 7/11. Doesn't have to be the same 7/11 all season.

These are details I didn't specify before, just figured we'd better clarify them now. So please state your case if anyone disagrees or has better ideas in these areas.

Leblanc's 18 are in.

looks like you were right LMBombers....I've been using RJNewman's link (that I reposted on page 2 of this thread) to view the player pool and didn't think about that other way.

I'll enter Franky's guys on the google docs site.

almost there...........

Franky, I think the commish is saying that between our 18 reserved players and 7 FA draft picks we MUST have 10 pitchers and 15 hitters which is what is required on our AD card. AFTER the AD runs you would be able to alter your roster any way you want as long as you keep the 7-11 theme but you run the risk of losing your planned 16th hitter during the FA draft rounds.

Am I right on this?

As Rick has done, when you get around to naming your team, please work in both franchises somehow so we can tell which teams are which when we look at the standings.

Is nice to have this simple reference as to who is who. Get as creative as you'd like using the two team names.

thanks!
