I agree with Kim. There's no requirement to participate in a supplemental draft. If managers do not publish drops by the deadline, then they do not draft. That's easy.
On the other hand, a separate communication to confirm interest in continuing in the league might be worthwhile...

I just emailed Dave to ask him if he plans to continue his participation in our league. Hopefully, he will respond by tomorrow. I do not want to start the draft until he responds or we find a replacement.
I will give him until Sunday. If he does not respond, we will look for a replacement.

Not sure how much access Dave has to the boards. And he doe's live in Spain, so he's on a different clock than this side of the globe. He's always been a little behind the times, but I can't remember him not wanting to continue.
My suggestion would be to just have the draft without him, seeing as there's no rule that you have to participate. We act as if he decided not to drop anyone.
When we get ready to start season 2 is where we'll need to see about a replacement if he's still unreachable.

Sure...I don't think this year's supp draft will have a huge effect on anyone's team (at least in the near future). So, go ahead. Draft starts Monday.
