He goes down for me last night in game 162, for 15 games. DONE for the playoffs.

Only 2 season, with under 600 PA's, so obviously it's the 1994 card. This really sucks and I feel totally unfair. Why should he and other players be able to go down for more than 3 games?

IMO, their numbers need to be extrapolated to a full season to see who goes down for more than 3.

So now I'm without my best hitter. I really think something needs to be done. Especially with ATG VI coming out, players are bound to have the 1994 season on their cards. The ATG vets certainly won't like it...

I agree, the same can be said of the 81 season. When I was playing in a face to face league during these seasons, our league used a simple formula to establish a full season of IP and ABs for all players. It was the only fair way to apply an injury.
The real joke, IMHO, is that Cal was still an 'ironman' that year while other players who played in more games were still given an injury on their card.

Same problem has been in ATG(154 game seasons vs 162, Negro Leagues) for a long time and they have never done anything about it

Kinda difficult to price a season when there are 5 of them.

Unless SOM changes the official rules regarding the injuries to those players, TSN will not change anything.

A player can still be bulletproof in 1994 by playing all of his team's games. There is at least one 90s player who does this, though I forget who. I agree that it's unfair to pick on player durability in 1994 (or 95) when the league actually played fewer games.

I guess the only thing that can be said in favor of the current system (if that's the word for it) is that the pricing of the player reflects his durability, so Griffey, for example, would have cost more if he had been a 600PA guy in 1994.

Paul Molitor 1994 has no injury on his card (and it's a pretty darn good card).

You are absolutely right in that the injury factor still plays into players total salary.
