Yankees Lovers and Haters - Drafting

Postby pwootten » Fri Nov 12, 2010 2:36 pm

Rob Latorre loves the Yankees. I can't stand them. Few people have mixed feelings about this team. Whether you love 'em or hate 'em you'll want to get involved in this fun 3-league tourney.

Three leagues. One each from the 70's, 80's, 90's. [color=red:0be44ce678]All teams play in Yankee Stadium.[/color:0be44ce678]
70's is $60M/No DH
80's is $80M/DH
90's is $100M/DH

Each league will begin with a draft of players who have at least one season with the Yankees on their card.

70's: 63 Yankees = 5-round draft
80's: 60 Yankees = 5-round draft
90's: 75 Yankees = 6-round draft

You don't have to keep the Yankees you draft, but you always have to have at least the same number. The 70's and 80's teams will always have 5 Yankees, the 90's will have 6.

The drafts will take place here on the board, all at the same time. The balance of the rosters will be filled out via autodraft. The leagues will begin one week apart.

Rob will award the new Mickey Mantle bio, "The Last Boy" to the manager who has the most playoff appearances. Ties go to the manager that goes deepest in the playoffs. If more prizes are needed I can come up with something. I actually have a couple signed pictures of Horace Clarke that can be thrown in the pot.

Randomizers will be run for serpentine draft position.

Let's see if we can fill this thing.

So if you finish last, you get the most Horace Clarke autographs?

Paul and Rob, you guys can write me in for ANY leagues you're starting or playing in. Done deal!

Thanks for letting me know about it, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it.

I'm going to plug this thread on the two other league threads I'm currently active with and see if we can't fill the last 3 spots.
