Sorry guys, I made a mistake thinking I had the first pick.. thanks for fixing that mistake.. So far it is 4 for allowing any card version, to 2 restricting access.. anyone else want to chime in?

my question was sf post and nyg post. the giants from 1958-1967 are[b:199a2b8f39] SF [/b:199a2b8f39]and [b:199a2b8f39]post[/b:199a2b8f39] franchise

Now that I better understand the question..

There are some situations where a players card year does not quite match the SOM categorization. For example, Sandy Koufax was a Los Angeles Dodger in 1965.. yet his card is in the Brooklyn Dodgers Post - grouping not the LA Dodgers-EXP.. I do not know why Strat-O-Matic/Sporting News created/categorized the cards this way, but for the purposes of this league.. the player goes with how SOM categorized him. So Sandy Koufax is avaialble to the BKN Post team, not LA exp. I think using the SOM categorization keeps things easier to manage..

I personally do not want to have go through all the situations where you have to determine where SOM should have categorized a player a certan way.. All 3 of the Willie Mays cards are in NYG post, even though 2 of the years were San Francisco years..

I would consider this type of parsing if this was a pure franchise league, but it is not. I hope this is acceptable to all.

If we do go with the "you can use any card version as long as you hold rightws to a player" we need to limit Satchell Paige. If you draft the CLEV - Post team you can have his Clev Post card. You may not swith to his Negro league era card. This card would not even be available if Bernie had the filter working to restrict our player pool to post and exp players only..

This should not be a big deal since if you draft Clev post you have deep pitching to pull from anyway..
