update...we will definetly use all latin born pitchers. the trickiest is going to be meeting roster requirement to carry 4 PURE relievers. even with all the latinos, there are only 5 african american pure relievers, and we have to have a pool of at least 48 PURE relievers. I've got a lil over 30 total right now, so Im gonna include any .50 reliever to make roster requirements.

this is a bit complex, and I want to get it right and have it all spelled out. if bontom wants to go first, especially since he's going away...if he has a theme ready to roll, feel free, Ill do the january theme. in the meantime, ill keep toiling. catcher's gonna need a supplement too, but I want to make sure someone has cliff johnson as their backup catcher, and that beckwith catches for some team. this should be fun!

I would be willing to say anyone that has a theme in mind, especially one that is simple that we can autodraft this week so we can get started should get a shot. We'll all have our chance anyway.

We will supplement all relievers with any latin born pitcher as well, they will likely be added to the starters pool too.

catchers pool will include latin born catchers under 1 million, starting with buck martinez, virgil, castillo, pena, mercado. only the card(s) under 1m will be eligible.

whoever drafts beckwith, MUST carry him as one of his catchers, he can only carry one other on his roster.

same will be true for tank carr, biz mackey, and ALL negro league players who play another position. you can also draft ONLY ONE negro league player with a catcher rating on your roster. (so you can't have Josh Gibson AND one of the multiple position guys like beckwith)

just about ready with final rules, it's 1030 pst. if someone wants to jump in with simpler theme we can have drafted by sunday, have at it.

in the meantime...

SP and RP WILL include pitchers born in latin or south america which will allow all 12 teams to carry required starters and quota of relievers.
each team will carry one .50 cent starting pitcher to help fill out staff, which im sure almost all of us will endeavor to see never pitchers at all.

there WILL be a DH (research shows a plethora of 1b.OF,DH types)

I am still mulling 80 or 100 million salary, need a lil more research, theme is more about using all kinds of cards which never get employed, so want to make sure they're not left off to make budget.

drops will be 5/10/20, but some positions will be all but cleaned out by original rosters.

since I am on west coast, can someone please call for a randomizer and get us a draft order.

remember, are numbers are 1-12 based on the theme order, starting with me at #1. when the numbers are generated, wherever your original number appears in the sequence is where you draft, in my case, the digit 1, wherever it appears in the order.

I'm on the West Coast, too. Looks like Meat is pretty far along on his theme, so I'll wait til Jan. If we start the draft Thursday, I should be fine by Sunday night, particularly if we shorten the number of rounds a bit.
