I'm here and ready to draft once rules are clarified. A couple of thoughts would be to add all Hispanic players to the mix and/or allow all players under a certain salary cap amount (1.00 or .75 for example) to be drafted. The second point wouldn't produce any usable SP but would help big time with usable RP and backup C.

Overall, this is a good theme, just needs to be tweaked a little to ensure a level playing field. I agree with Novie, would hate to have to use Beckwith as my C.

guys, there are plenty of starting and relief pitchers when you factor in every latin born sp and rp 5m and under. as I said, those are NOT complete lists. some teams will need to use a sp/rp in the pen and set them accordingly.

as for beckwith, rule stands. if eleven others want to leave him out there, ill be glad to take his bat and let you run wild on the bases on me. if he ends up in the free agent pile, he may still only be used as a starting catcher for whichever team employs him.

I will add a a few more cheap latin catchers to the mix to get us well beyond 24 total catchers, but those won't come up in the initial 8 round draft.


ive got to run off off to a meeting but will be back in a bout an hour to post a list of at least 120 pitchers, including 60 sp and 60 rp.

part of the strategy is that this is a very limited pool, at catcher, and amongst pitchers, almost every eligible player will have to be used...and players like lenny randle, tony phillips, derrel thomas lee lacy, will likely be needed to fill out rosters.

I'm not the brightest guy in the world, and frankly I'm not exactly sure about certain players. I think it is imperative that we know who is considered AA and who is Latin.

Examples.. Pujols, Cedeno, Vlad, Carew, Ortiz, Minoso, Cabrera, B Williams, Beltran, Alou(s), Oliva, T Perez

The names "appear" to be Latin, but their "appearance" could be AA.

Also.... what do we do if someone makes an "error" in the live draft and selects a Latin player... and several proxies run... I for one am capable of making a mistake on this one.

NO offensive latin players are eligible except the listed catchers in the 1m or less category, which I will list now.

I will also list all eligible pitchers as im able here.

if an ineligible is drafted, he'll need to be dropped and replaced.

I will do my best to list ALL eligible pitchers here by the end of the day, have to run shortly for an appointment.

also, since we've conceeded we won't be done by monday, would extend draft a few more rounds since autodraft will produce some eligibility nightmares, but not sure I can edit rounds after league is created.

between the nego league sp, the black sp, and the supplemental latin american sp there are well over 60 starters available, plus, every team is eligible to carry the customary .50 starting pitcher regardless of race. I will extend that to any sp .75 and below to include neikro, sellers,cox and young, so that there are at least 12 sp only in the low ball range. each team must own ONLY ONE of these cheap staff fillers.
