Theme League: Another Man's Treasure: Draft Thread

Our historical single season sets

Wow, thanks allstar for the positive comments. The complexity of the nominating phase was unfortunate, but it did result in an unusual player pool for the draft - so, there was a payoff for that complexity.

idanred, I think you have the most interesting team - stocking up on solid lefty hitting. Your current third baseman, John Kennedy, rarely gets played - so I'd guess he will be new to your lineup. Also, your choice of superstar hitter will affect the division you are in. Divisions will be based on total team salary.

This has been a lot of fun. It will be interesting watching how the season unfolds. I have enjoyed watching when my nominees have been selected. I never expected Angel Bravo to be such a hot commodity.
I think my offense will be competitive and with the exception of the 4e41 Ted Savage at 2B my defense should be passable as well. Pitching will be another story all together but I don't think I am alone in that regard.
Thanks for the great concept Franky!

Sad fact is I think pitching may end up being my strength.

I have a question. Why is there only 23 rounds in the draft. Are we going to auto draft the last 3 guys? Since 2 picks are all stars and 1 is the park. not that the last 3 guys really matter in this league... Also does ever team have to carry 10 pitchers and 15 hitters?

There are 26 rounds in the draft. THere are only 23 rounds on somdraft because I coudln't figure out how to get any more rounds on somdraft. Rounds 24-26 will be on the message board.

We can trade, but cannot trade superstars. Each team must draft exactly 10 pitchers and 15 hitters. And roster size must remain at 25 throughout the season.

No free agent moves at any time.

Gentlemen,

I thought I had set a proxy for Ivan Murrell and I ended up with Dennis Higgins who I was going to take after Murrell. Would someone please confirm by drop of Higgins and I will take Murrell in his place.

Thanks

Rick

Thanks For the help. Murrell is important in the overall scheme of things. He will either play RF or !B, and probably end up batting 3rd, 4th, or 5th.

Gordie needs to repick. Dave Wickersham was his nominee, so he needs to be dropped and pick another player.
