You can draft any player at any available time period in the opening round. If you draft a player that has multiple cards spread across more than one decade, then you must declare along with the decade pick which card you want.

If scenarios like the Kiner one happen, then so be it. You do [u:cb78e53c46]not[/u:cb78e53c46] have to retain the rights to any of the players you pick IN ANY ROUND.

I think the draft will be balanced enough (and the depth of the player pool is deep enough) that one or two players won't make or break a manager's team, especially at 110M.

Just so everyone is aware, this is a no DH league, so Kiner won't be available to DH. You'll have to stick his iron glove out there.

This doesn't clear up the idea whether we CAN swap out the Kiner -- or any card -- later on. I assume we can. Some players straddle THREE decades, I believe.

Thoughts?

Artie, please re-read my last post. I did address that concern. The short answer is YES, you can swap out one card for another [u:1b259890b3]following the draft[/u:1b259890b3]. Obviously, you cannot make changes to your picks during the draft.

In most cases, it will just be best if you post the specific card you intend to draft. In Ruth's case, it doesn't really matter because he only has 2 cards and they both are from the 1920-1929 period.

I assume you will be taking the 1956 Mickey Mantle ($13.97)?

Folks, please post the SPECIFIC card you intend to take with this pre-draft round pick. It will just put everyone in the good habit of doing so for all of the live draft rounds.

Hi Dave,

I would have done that, were it not for your previous post asking us to use a specific format. I didn't see Ruth's specific 20's card identified in said format. 8-)

But since you ask, I have (for the purposes of this draft) set my sights on the '56 card. :wink:
