The two Milwaukees will be separate teams, as will the other cities with multiple eras (Kc, LA).

Would it make sense to make the 2 post-draft FAs on a sliding scale (the west goes up to 7m for their pricey FA, 6M for the central, 5M for the east.

I know I have the Yanks, but there are 5 picks left and some good franchises - the 2 Philadelpia's, Brooklyn and I would think Cleveland is good.

You also get another team and 2 more players so atleast 4 or 5 more good players.

If anything maybe combine some of the teams - put the Chicago's together, Cinn and Clev together and add Wash to Balt
They are close together anyway.

That would make it 12 franchises.

Alternatively, maybe we could take the unselected franchises and split them by era as secondary teams to add. A lot of depth in those teams if they don't get selected, better than the Texas/Tampon/Florida/Arizona/Seattle pupu platter.

With no Hornsby (maybe) the Cubs weren't quite as interesting. Plus, I thinm I've had them for all but one franchise or Play for your City leagues. Time for a change... :D

I'm okay with taking the remaining franchises from the Round 1 list, and including those unpicked teams as eligible for round 2 - what say you, group?

I think that I prefer PKB's suggestion of splitting those teams up by era. Even though rjoh is doing some heartfelt "suffering" about being stuck with the Yankees, I really don't want to leave too much for the early pickers (greedy fellow that I am). These last teams in the first round are significantly weaker than the early ones, and we need to get something back. First pick on rounds 2 and 3 is nice, but making the later picks of round 2 stronger will give too much opportunity for those teams to be plugging gaps while those of us down here in the bilges are still trying to find position players.

I do like the sliding scale for the FA picks.

I'm OK with adding the unchosen franchises from round one into the options for round two. I'm guessing nothing can be done to keep everyone happy but this seems to be the best option available. Not sure i like the sliding scale on the FAs only because it will add confusion IMHO.

I would rather not. The franchise picks could really affect the choice of Negro leaguers, as we will know which FAs will still be available.

Sure it will take longer, but I'm ok with that.
