but sight must REALLY be F'D up....three active teams in ATG went combined 1-8...gave up a dozen runs in three games over two leagues, and lost one game 22-5. can we run these again?!

Talk about team work...I am with a client at court and the wife calls me letting me know Tom texted to let me know I was up. I could not get to a computer so I walked my wife through the process and grabed Dunn (I think Meat had picked before I made my pick). I like my first 5 hitters from a OBP, Avg & Power along with Defense. See how the rest plays out. SGT D

Well, it's a moot point, since Meat made his pick at 1:16 Pacific before Sarge could pick. Meat did not, however, post on this board, "I can't see the cards." If that had been the case, then, sure, the clock would have been off. Instead, Meat forgot to turn his proxies on. No exemptions for that, even if you are the guy who set up the draft.

On another issue, what's with all the dropping? In the past, we have not allowed dropping because it messes up other people's proxies. Maybe someone else had Youkilis proxied. Five teams have picked 1B or 3B since Jason made his pick. Easily one of those teams could have wanted Youkils instead. Now I see Curt wanting to drop Tori Hunter. What's with that?

I don't want to drop Torii Hunter. I was trying to check the draft status on my (fairly elderly) cell phone this morning and put up a couple of proxies. I've discovered I can't do proxies there; it must have registered to drop Hunter instead.

I'm now at the office -- where I have access to the Diamond Dope and these boards, but the SOM site itself is blocked -- so I'll set up some proxies and try to fix Hunter.

Santana snag by Al was the first real hurt we've felt. I'm sure he knew I was going to take him next. Markakis, Hunter and Gardner all also a pain, but there are other decent options (like Heyward), so I'm not lamenting too much there.

Al...how could I post "cant see the cards" if I couldn't get on the sight at all during the 8-hours I was at work? I turned the proxies off because I was reconsidering what I wanted to do with this pick. as I stated, if sarge had picked and skipped, I would have been forced to jump in and make a pick if I didn't want too many players to go by, in another league im drafting, about 12 picks were made during the whole sight down disaster, including proxies of my own, so be it.
if the sight's down, for an extended period (hopefully for the last time) you have to pause the draft.
