Fighting Llamas

Postby merkelblunder » Wed Mar 09, 2011 7:19 pm

Originally started out with what I thought was a wining strategy. But, something happened along the way. Wait till you see my next two selections.

Coen Brothers graduated from Bard College At Simon's Rock in Great Barrington, MA which is just down the street from where I live (o.k. same state anyway). The college mascot is the Llama. So there it is ......."Fighting Llamas" I'm curious to know what the school fight song would be ?

He is? (I mean, I am?) I think it's Cal, actually.

ill pick shortly, had to take a dinner break, and proxy selections a bit twisted by recent developments.

Seven proxies on the board, which should take me through rounds 10 and 11. I'll check in tomorrow morning.

[quote:d3ae1ee3b3="TomSiebert"]Santana snag by Al was the first real hurt we've felt. I'm sure he knew I was going to take him next.[/quote:d3ae1ee3b3]

Tom weaseled me back the next round with his Kuroda pick, who was next on my draft list. Ended up picking up Billingsley instead to complete my rotation. I think Mark has the only other complete rotation at this point, although several others are just one starter away.

Sorry for any misunderstanding on any site issues people were having on Tuesday. I had thought it was just the TSN SOM Player Roster people were having trouble getting to, rather than this message board site and the DiamondDope site. I encountered my own difficulties getting to DiamondDope today.

Glad to see everyone was able to have proxies loaded when The Turtle came out of his shell to take Youkilis back off the discard pile. We moved through rounds 9 and 10 quickly enough that you all even managed to catch me without a proxy loaded in round 11.

I have eight proxies in to take me through the next two rounds. At this point, there shouldn't be too much "I was going to pick him next; my strategy is ruined!" except maybe for starting pitchers. With position players, it's more like "Hmmm, should I take the guy who's going to hit great but miss 60 games, or the guy who's a butcher in the field, or the guy who isn't going to hit very much?"
