Random Parks

This has been great fun and I'm in for the final league.
I've lost interest in straight 80 mil leagues and I've got too many other theme commitments to keep going at this pace. Maybe if we slow it down to one team every week or perhaps every other week it would be more manageable.
What made it less interesting (at times) for me was the number of very similar ballparks that were balanced pitchers parks or even parks, which when you get three or four of those in a row, tend to make the drafts less interesting.
What if we were to pare down the full list by removing many of the duplicates that are even and in the middle/balanced?

Good idea, We should try an extreme-parks-only random league sometime.

Just had a more off the wall idea.
Take all players valued at $9M and up (plus closers over $5)
Assign numbers. Players with multiple cards are assigned one number.
Randomize teams 1-12 and 3 players in that top grouping. Draft to fill based on the random order.
100M, DH, Advanced.
Trading allowed, but must keep at least three guys who were assigned randomly.
We could add a random park aspect to it. Might be a touch weird. But might be worth a go.
So, Out of the randomization, I get Speaker, Mantle and Joss.
Gives me lots of options, but Mantle winds up being my DH. Alternatively, I trade Mantle to the team that got Frank Thomas, Mark McGwire and Jeff Bagwell (I get Bagwell, because I got Braves Field in the randomizer, and he gives me more payroll flex.
Now, here's the interesting part. You're thinking this limits your construction options. I didn't say we discard the guys not assigned from the over $9 group. You can draft em. Really. So, you want to top stack, fine. You want to balance, also fine.
This is off the top of my head. Might need some/a lot of refinement.
