my thought on lumping teams based on the past season was to add some intrigue and more carryover from season to season, and increase rivalries. a chance to get back at the guys who spoiled your last season, or just beat you out for a playoff slot. for those in the west, its a bit of a breather after getting your teeth knocked in for seven weeks, but generally has no bearing on the strength of the teams. for a guy who's perrenially in the playoffs, and won multiple titles like Al and Turtle, I can see being oppossed to constantly being in the East, but the competition would be keen. (I have vague memories of what that was like...)

btw, if Al gets a great year from steven drew, or stephen drew...I quit. how do guys always come up big for our resident prose-acker, and die on the vine for the rest of us?

based on the random number generator...are the top four teams in the east, the next four in the central etc?

This is all very interesting, but...I DON'T CARE at this point how we do it...

... Meat got the random numbers generated, and going into the draft I believe most had the expectation we would continue as we have in the past. Let's proceed with the 'random number generator' divisions. Meat, please confirm.

that's fine with me...my only thought was reading down from the top 9 and the next three numbers in the east, then the next four reading vertically in the central, etc. but since tws sorted it out, it is OFFICIALLY, as above, plan accordingly.

For the record, my count shows it has now been 17 leagues with (at least most of) this group since I won my second championship. I am hoping the Fort Smith Marshals, the ninth of those teams to make the playoffs, will snap that streak and bring me my third title. While that's not a Siebertian-level streak of SOM disappointment (I did win a Players Championship league title in the middle of those leagues), I don't think it represents league domination, either.

That's not much comfort for the Rugs, down 3 games to 1 and trying like heck to wake up the bats before the Marshals walk away with this first round series.

okay, lets get it out of the way...we're creeping up on our first skip...EXCEPT...its on a corner. those of you first and last owe a little extra responsibility to the gang, because the sight doesn't recognize the picker as one and the same person, and so it becomes a six hour clock. please proxy up and be ready, especially on the turns. checking in fruitlessly throughout the day is not only disheartening, its contageous, others start to assume their turns not gonna come so we all start to slack off...

btw, everyone is listed for email notification when your turn is up, per the email listed with the diamond dope sight. not sure if it works or not, since ive never gotten one, but supposedly you can check or get emails including on your phone when its ur turn.
