if I'm reading this correctly, terry has 30 mins or so left to make his 2nd round pick and then AZ Panthers is up for 2.

sweet. he picked. don't want anyone to be skipped for time early in the draft. that is an awkward feeling.

nice pace again today....keep it up crew.

Thanks, figured I needed to get some top flight pitching before it was all gone.

terry's 3 hours for his 3rd round pick are up. Cubit can pick if he's ready. Terry can jump in and pick at any time.

just trying to keep a 41 round draft (which will be followed by a 4-round prospect draft) moving.

Question about the clock

Postby Sknsfan » Wed May 18, 2011 7:25 pm

Terry just posted, but in about 20 minutes - Cubits original 3 hour clock would have been up.

Do i start a new 3 hour clock for him?

I'm perfectly happy waiting to make sure no one gets skipped, but i also want to make sure we keep it moving.

thoughts?

cubit is on here a lot, he probably won't be going over his limit ever. I think he just waited to give Terry time....if the 6 hour mark had come I think cubit would have picked.

and I see he made his pick while I was typing this, so you are good to go.

The clock is important to keep us all going, but I was not about to jump in on Terry this early in the Draft, but I am glad he picked and I got my man too.

Thanks for watching over the times; we all need to be aware of the clock if we want to complete this in a reasonable amount of time.

Cubit email here is gunjishi@mac.com I will take down this address soon, but it is best for us all to exchange emails to keep things going. If you see I'm about to miss a turn, I welcome an email, since I can check those on my phone between meetings or classes, while I'm not in front of the computer all day long.

that's what I was trying to say. Jumping in front of a guy later in the draft is not as big a deal as in the first few rounds.

my email is palong@pvschools.net or pnhlong@cox.net and I don't mind emails either.

also, to keep the draft moving, I have no problem taking proxies (especially for those guys on the opposite end of the draft order from me---where it doesn't matter if I see who they have interest in since my pick is so far from theirs).

thanks for a good first 2+ rounds and hopefully we can get 2 or 3 rounds done tomorrow.

i've got a decent amount of time right now, thus my (over)involvement. If you want me to let you know when you guys are up, let me know.....if it's annoying let me know that as well. I've got/sent emails back and forth with a couple guys in here already and now Cubit and I have our emails up here too, so let me know if you want notified when you're up etc...
