Harmon Killebrew

It was sad today to learn that Killebrew stopped his chemotherapy for esophageal cancer and entered Hospice. He will be treated with Morphine and elected to spend his last few weeks with family and without pain. I knew him well and he was a nice and kind man who cared for others. He is #11 on the all time HR list and will hold in the top 12 for a while. Only the steroid era will prevent a top 10 finish. Prayers go out to him and his family. He will be greatly missed.

My thoughts exactly Chess, thanks for posting this. It is such a brave decision, and such a difficult one. A part of my thoughts will be with the Killebrew family.
