[quote:5fabdd2834]A.Blanco 3-5 Single & Error - RF[/quote:5fabdd2834]

My 2nd baseman Blanco's 3-5 roll vs rhp is a single**. Just how does this result in an error by the opponent's right fielder? More to the point, how can any roll off of a batter's card result in a fielding error?

As a long time C&D player, I've become aware that the HAL engine has a few quirks built into it in order to liven up the game a bit, but this one stumps me.

my guess

My guess is that the RF who was fielding the single with two asterisks made an error after the single. Was there a question mark after the single in question or any other mark? Just wondering.

Speaking of HAL, he got me good last night. In the ninth inning of a close game, HAL brings in my .5M RP instead of the guy I had indicated to use as my closer, who has a 4.8M salary. The closer did not pitch for either of the previous 2 games in the series, so that .5M clown promptly gives up a couple of runs and my team loses. I could see bringing in the .5M guy IF I was up by a lot or down by a lot, but give me a break! HAL should be fired.
