Starting Pitcher fatigue

Starting Pitcher fatigue

Well I have been wondering this for a while and I'm sure I could find it on the boards if I looked hard enough but it's the time to ask this for myself.

I have Felix Hernandez in my 24 team league and through his 1st 6 starts he has thrown 5 complete games (1 shutout and 3 1-run efforts) so should I be concerned about him with this workload and getting fatigued later thus not pitching as well later in the year. Or should I just enjoy him talking the BYOB (be your own bullpen) mentality to the next level.

I would think that it shouldn't make a difference but SOMO does some crazy things.

No, you should not be concerned. Fatigue only affects the current game and is not cumulative for starting pitchers. Regardless of how many innings he throws, he will be 100% fresh for his next start (assuming he gets the required # of days rest in between).
