The Rediculously Early Pre-Card draft - Chat Thread

[quote:da4d6382fc="Frank M"]Defense. If the UZR is used he will be a 3 with a +2 arm. I have seen enough games that he should be a 2 with a 0 arm. But Start will give him a +1 or +2.[/quote:da4d6382fc]

Yeah, his 2010 card has him as a CF-2 E3 +1 arm. I would be happy if I can get that next year!
I figure if I can get 40+ HRs, 25+ stolen bases, and an OBP of around .350 out of him, I will consider the pick as OK.

If he bats .215 and is a CF-3 with a +2 arm, then I just might be angry!

Isn't this a requirement for ANY CF'er on a Kev team?

I also would worry about a .260BA. Bautista and Thome come to mind in this years set. Plenty of Hr's and Walks but hitting around .200. Granderson should do well though.

I am suprised that the guy I was looking at along with Kemp is still on the board. Just let this guy slip alittle bit more for me guys. :)

He is a better pick than Alex Gordon! Why would anyone take that guy in the first round when you know Gordon could be picked up in the 4th or 5th round late!

What is really funny is that is the name Vizick uses when he checks into the Hotel Notel during the Leather Conventions in Vegas. He gets many clients with that name. I guess he just types that name out by habit.

I dunno- .303/.376/.502 is a pretty solid stat line

Let's take his two most impressive stats. There are 9 players with a higher OBP that are still available...and 18 with a better SLG. Not to beleaguer the point, but as a LF he seems like a 3rd/4th rounder.

#1. With back to back picks does it really matter if I took him w/ my first pick or second? NO!

#2. Defensively he will be at least a 2, I think a 1 with a -3 arm.

#3. He would never have made back to me for my 3rd round pick.

#4. The Sluggers for the MOST part that are left are either First Basemen, DH type or Hitters w/ 15 game risks which I have no problem with.(See Napoli).

#5. Same for the OBA type as well.

Finally I believe it's a good pick and HOW many lead-off hitters slug over .500? In this set there might be 2-3 others. So I will stand by my pick. :D
