The Rediculously Early Pre-Card draft - Chat Thread

Decided to take poor 'ol CarGo off the shelf. He went from the most sought after to a red-headed stepchild. CarGo and Granderson patrolling the outfield so far. Sounds good on paper.....but probably backfire when the new game comes out.

I had CarGo on my short list, went with Allen as his home/away splits weren't as bad, and didn't want to draft 3 LH hitters to start with. Plus Allen played 3B, 2B, etc etc... so I have some possible flexibility with him as well depending on the ranges he gets. But in my top 3 picks were CarGo, Allen and Ortiz, knew none would get back to me after that.

CarGo was on my short list too. I understand people are averse to LH SP but picking up Cliff Lee in the back end of the 3rd round seemed like a steal.

That's was scares me about him. Also, he crushes righties, but is just barely serviceable vs lefties.

I did pick 3 consecutive lefties. However, Cano and Granderson are just as good or better vs. lefties.....so those of you thinking about stacking up lefty starters against me...beware.

So far, the breaks have been good. Still bummed about missing out on Granderson, but I almost took Beltre in the 3rd round and was glad he swung back to me in the 4th.

I had them ranked in this order: Cabrera, Hardy, Castro...but seeing them all go made my short list non-existent. I knew they wouldn't make it back to me...
